The New System will
provide improvements in production efficiency and yield. For QA analysis, operators will be prompted to generate
product samples during line startup, while running, and at the end of
the run. The system
specifies product sample standards at each test station. Data is
immediately recorded and analyzed against statistical limits.
The System will also
provide Downtime Tracking to improve production and maintenance
efficiency. The
system will track line throughput, record line run time and downtime,
display line bottlenecks, record reasons for machine downtime, and
calculates efficiency of different product runs on different lines.
Operators choose from standard downtime codes to accurately
capture specific machine downtime causes.
The data will be used to create timely reporting of downtime and
maintenance causes. Engineering and Maintenance will use Overview and Detail
Screens to view the status of machinery,
running, faulted, choked, starved, or idle.
All data generated,
including product quality and machine run time, will be archived to a
data historian and a relational database.
